Christine Arsego’s distinction as being the first THS female athlete to receive a full scholarship to a Division 1 college came about as a result of her outstanding athletic performance in the four years that she played basketball at Torrington High School. Starting as point guard, she averaged fifteen points, five assists, and five rebounds per game in her senior year. She became a member of the 1,000 point club and received All-Suburban, All-NVL, and All-State honors and was selected for the “School-Boy/School-Girl Classic All-Star Game” and CT High School Coaches All-Star Game. She was also a CAS-CIAC Scholar Athlete Award recipient.
Her talents also extended to girls’ soccer where she received All-NVL honors and to track where she excelled in the 400 meter and took first place in many contests.
At Division 1 Monmouth University, Christine played guard and forward in the Northeast Conference. She was the recipient of Monmouth University’s Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Award.  She graduated from the Honors Program with a Bachelor of Science Degree in mathematics and minor in accounting. She was a member of Kappa MU Epsilon, Mathematical Honor Society.
Christine currently works as a cost analyst for the Department of Defense in Lakehurst, New Jersey. She is also pursuing the completion of
a Master’s Degree in Business Administration
