Amanda Adamski scored 18 points and Lewis Mills hit a season-high nine three-pointers to hold off a scrappy Shepaug team 53-32 Friday night in Burlington.

Mills raced out to a 13-4 first quarter lead, but watched Shepaug roar back with an 18-11 second quarter to trail only 25-23 at the half.

“We let our guard down. We lost our focus and intensity for a stretch in the second quarter, and Shepaug took advantage of it,” Mills coach Dennis Fowler said. “I was happy how we responded in third.”

Katherine Bayne scored eight of her 14 points in the third as Lewis Mills outscored Shepaug 19-4 to put the game out of reach. Shepaug had one field goal in the second half.

Nicole Bisson had 9 points for Lewis Mills (14-0), all on three-pointers. Gwen Clair lead Shepaug (6-8) with 14 points.
