TORRINGTON VS. WOLCOTT
WHEN: Friday, 7 p.m.
LOCATION: Wolcott High School
RECORDS: Torrington 0-1; Wolcott 1-0
LAST WEEK: Ansonia 66, Torrington 26; Wolcott 34, Kennedy 0
LAST SEASON: Torrington 66, Wolcott 28
TISCIA'S PICK: Torrington 27, Wolcott 23
Based off of last year's score, you'd think this would be an easy prediction, but it's not. Torrington, of course, no longer has Brenden Lytton, and the Eagles have one of the better homefield advantages in the league. The Red Raiders must get their run game going after struggling against Ansonia last week. The passing game, led by Phil Bressen, showed promise in the loss as the Torrington receivers found openings in the Ansonia secondary, but were not able to execute on many of its opportunities. With Holy Cross on the horizon for next week, it's vital for the Red Raiders to win this game.
