Golf on the Green to Open in New Milford.
Paul Ramee, Jr., is opening Golf on the Green in New Milford.
Golf on the Green is a 2,000-square-foot indoor teaching and practice facility located at 27 Main Street, Suite 4 on the town Green. Ramee is the Director of Golf at Bull’s Bridge Golf Club in South Kent.
“I am excited to become a part of the new business landscape in New Milford,” said the veteran golf professional. “My family and I have been living in this area for over 10 years and we always believed that the town green in New Milford is one of the most picturesque in Connecticut. I look forward to being more involved in the community and helping area golfers improve their skills.”
Ramee has continuously broadened his knowledge base as a teacher over the past 20 years. He earned his Class A certification from the PGA of America in 1996, achieved Level 1 status at the Titleist Performance Institute, and has been a regular contributor to the Proponent Group, the Premier Network of Golf Instructors. Ramee was the recipient of the 2013 Horton Smith Award from the Connecticut PGA, and within the past month was named to Golf Digest’s 2013–2014 List of Best Teachers in Connecticut.
Bull’s Bridge Golf Club’s assistant professional, Chris Stahlnecker, will also be on staff for lessons, particularly for junior golfers. Stahlnecker was named to the Top 50 Kids Teachers list in 2011 and 2012 and has developed numerous junior golfers who went onto play the PGA Tour, including, Harris English and Hudson Swafford, In addition, he has an extensive history of working with both high School and Division I college golf teams.
Golf on the Green will feature full swing practice stations, a chipping and putting green for short game instruction. The latest technology, including V1 Swing Analysis software and FlightScope diagnostic equipment, will be employed to help students understand their current golf swings and to highlight the areas that require improvement.
