Milton Resolution Road Race coming up! The Press Release.

Long-time race director, John Baker of Milton, has announced that the 29th annual running of the Milton Resolution Road Race will take place on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Timing by Greystone Racing.

The 5-mile road race has a little bit of everything for the runners, uphill, downhill, flat stretches, paved and dirt roads and maybe some snow, ice and sunshine thrown into the mix. It’s a great way to start off the New Year!

Distinct medals from Woodbury Pewter will be awarded to the over-all men’s and women’s champions and to the top three in each of these age groups: 18 and under; 19-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-74; 75-79; and 80-over.

Entry forms are available at The Village Restaurant, Murphy’s Pharmacy, True Value of Litchfield, the Litchfield Parks and Recreation Department office or on the web at the town’s website:, then go to departments, then to “Recreation” and then click on Registration Forms and then to Milton Road Race Registration. Print that off and fill it out and return to: Town of Litchfield/Park and Rec, P.O. Box 12, Bantam, CT 06750.

Pre-registration prior to Dec. 23, 2018 is just $15. Race day registration will be held from 9:30 until 10:30 at the Milton Hall and will cost $20.
