Mother's Day Salute Series: Jonathan Wilson on Caroline Wilson.
Happy Mother’s Day to the best Mom in the world.
You drive me around in circles day in and day out. You never take a day off, even though you deserve one.
You watch me play as much as you possibly can, even though you leave for work at 6:42 every day and don’t get back until after four o’clock.
Going to watch me play sports can be very challenging. I play all over the place. (Don’t you just love going to Housy?)
Some days the games or the practices come at the worst possible time or on short notice. You are always there to find a solution so that I can get there. I can tell it is not easy to work, watch, and then finally get to rest.
Thank you for allowing me to turn the house into my own pitch, goal, diamond, base, court, hoop and any other type of athletic playing area. I’ve only broken 4 windows and I think that’s pretty good.
Thank you for putting food on the table every night. I know I eat all the time, but I can always count on there being a dinner. Even though you say you’d never skip a meal for me like Kevin Durant’s mother.
It’s not the easiest thing in the world to give me food and for that I also thank you.
Words cannot describe how much you do for me and even though I don’t always show it, I really do appreciate it. I know the trouble you go through just to allow me to do fun things.
You take me on vacation with Dad and we always have a great time. Every time we depart for a trip I am very excited and when we have to leave it is sad. I hope that we continue to go places.
Thank you for making me a lucky kid. I’ve seen more of the world then most of my classmates. You go out of your way doing things that I don’t think any other mother does for their kids.
I would not ask for a better Mom.
You’re the best there is.
If there were a draft for mothers, you would be the #1 pick. That way, we could watch people talk about you on ESPN for 4 months.
We all know you love watching Gruden and Berman talk about the NFL draft every day. For all that, I thank you.
I hope you have a great day Sunday. Do me a favor; take a rest. Enjoy your day Mom. I love you.
Happy Mother’s Day!
