TORRINGTON VS WATERTOWN

WHEN: Thursday, 10 a.m.

LOCATION: Watertown High School

RECORDS: Torrington 2-8; Watertown 1-9

LAST WEEK: Torrington 50, Sacred Heart 15; Wolcott 48, Watertown 23

LAST SEASON: Torrington 35, Watertown 21

TISCIA'S PICK: Torrington 30, Watertown 20 – Obviously, it’s been a rough season for the Raiders, but a win here would give them three wins in their final four games. That is at least something to build on.

GILBERT/NORTHWESTERN VS. HOUSATONIC/WAMOGO

WHEN: Thursday, 10 a.m.

LOCATION: The Gilbert School

RECORDS: Gilbert/Northwestern 9-0; Housatonic/Wamogo 0-9

LAST WEEK: Valley Regional 35, Gilbert/Northwestern 0; Housatonic/Wamogo lost by forfeit to Nonnewaug

LAST SEASON: Gilbert/Northwestern 44, Housatonic/Wamogo 0

TISCIA'S PICK: Gilbert/Northwestern 48, Housatonic/Wamogo 6 – Even though the Yellowjackets have a playoff berth wrapped up and will probably give their backups a lot of time, this will be a very difficult day for Housatonic/Wamogo. The Mountaineers have not played since Oct. 19 due to forfeits and will suit up a minimal amount of players.

LEWIS MILLS VS. NONNEWAUG

WHEN: Thursday, 10 a.m.

LOCATION: Lewis Mills School

RECORDS: Lewis Mills 2-8; Nonnewaug 3-7

LAST WEEK: Windsor Locks 21, Lewis Mills 12; Nonnewaug won by forfeit over Housatonic/Wamogo

LAST SEASON: Nonnewaug 20, Lewis Mills 0

TISCIA'S PICK: Nonnewaug 27, Lewis Mills 20 – The may be the most competitive of the local Thanksgiving games. Both teams have shown improvement this season.

WOLCOTT TECH VS. ABBOTT TECH

WHEN: Thursday, 10 a.m.

LOCATION: Broadview Middle School

RECORDS: Wolcott Tech 1-8; Abbott Tech 3-7

LAST WEEK: O’Brien Tech 28, Wolcott Tech 12; Prince Tech 60, Abbott Tech 52

LAST SEASON: Abbott Tech 28, Wolcott Tech 8

TISCIA'S PICK: Abbott Tech 30, Wolcott Tech 17 – The Wildcats have shown flashes of strong offense, but have had their issues defensively. Abbott Tech is coming off a 52-point effort last week, albeit in a loss.
