TORRINGTON VS. WOLCOTT

WHEN: Friday, 7 p.m.

LOCATION: Robert H. Frost Sports Complex, Torrington

RECORDS: Torrington 0-3; Wolcott 2-1

LAST WEEK: St. Paul 52, Torrington 37; Wolcott 48, Seymour 41

LAST SEASON: Wolcott 39, Torrington 34

TISCIA'S PICK: Wolcott 48, Torrington 28 - Wolcott is coming off two emotionally draining games - an overtime loss at Naugatuck and thrilling comeback win at home over Seymour. The Eagles have scored at least 36 points in each of their three games, while the Red Raiders have allowed at least 34 points per contest. Expect little to change in this one.

WOLCOTT TECH VS. WILCOX TECH

WHEN: Saturday, 1 p.m.

LOCATION: Wolcott Tech High School

RECORDS: Wolcott Tech 0-2; Wilcox Tech 0-3

LAST WEEK: Capital Tech 48, Wolcott Tech 0; O'Brien Tech 36, Wilcox Tech 30

LAST SEASON: Wilcox Tech 44, Wolcott Tech 14

TISCIA'S PICK: Wilcox Tech 33, Wolcott Tech 18 - Despites its three losses, Wilcox Tech has shown signs of life offensively, scoring at least thirty in its last two games. Look for at least a closer game than last year's matchup.

NONNEWAUG VS. WINDSOR LOCKS/SUFFIELD/EAST GRANBY

WHEN: Saturday, 1 p.m.

LOCATION: Windsor Locks High School

RECORDS: Nonnewaug 1-1; Windsor Locks 2-1

LAST WEEK: Avon 42, Nonnewaug 7; Morgan 43, Windsor Locks 6

LAST SEASON: Did not meet

TISCIA'S PICK: Windsor Locks 28, Nonnewaug 12 - Is there an official nickname for this three-team co-op that has a combined five words? Do we call them WLSEG? Or does that look too much like the name of a power company?

GILBERT/NORTHWESTERN VS. LEWIS MILLS

WHEN: Saturday, 2:30 p.m.

LOCATION: The Gilbert School

RECORDS: GN 2-1; Lewis Mills 0-2

LAST WEEK: North Branford 42, GN 25; Lewis Mills had a bye

LAST SEASON: Did not meet

TISCIA'S PICK: GN 44, Lewis Mills 8 - Look for the Yellowjackets to take out their frustrations from last week in a rare battle of local teams.

BYE WEEK: Housatonic/Wamogo
