Michael Scacca

Michael was a member of the THS Class of 1975. While there, he excelled in both football and baseball. As a starter for three years on the varsity squad, he was captain of the football team in 1974, earned All-NVL and led his team to the NVL championship. He earned All-State in 1975, holding the record for most yards in a game against Kennedy. Mike was named to “Who’s Who All-American” in 1974 for football and academics.

In baseball, starting two years on the varsity team, he received All-NVL in 1975 and the team became NVL champs that year as well as state champions.

After high school, Michael went on to Wesleyan University on an academic scholarship where he played football for four years and baseball for three years. Mike also played for the P38”s as a starting right fielder in 1974-75 earning zone champs and state champs in 1975. He received his master’s degree from War College in Newport, R.I. in 1983.

Mike served his country for twenty-plus years in the United States Air Force achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and serving in the Balkan and Gulf Wars. He is now retired and resides in Papillion, Nebraska.
