Jared Cohen- LHP- Georgetown University- Phoenixville, PA- RS Junior

Titans Outlook: The junior transfer went to Georgetown from Vanderbilt after his sophomore year.

Titans head coach Gregg Hunt is looking for Cohen to be one of his stalwarts out of the bullpen in 2001.

“I see him coming out of the pen as a situational guy,” Hunt said, “He has played in two tough conferences (the SCC with Vandy, the Big East with the Hoyas) so he should do well in our league.”

In 2010, Cohen appeared in 18 games, all but one of those outings was out of the bullpen.

Ended year with a 1-1 record and a 5.29 ERA. Was second on team in batting average against with a strong .262 mark.

Has appeared in four games in 2011 for Georgetown, all in relief and has given up three runs in three innings while fanning three.

Last season, Cohen earned two saves for the Hoyas and struck out a season high three batters against Rutgers.

Hunt is looking to carry either 14 pitchers and 12 hitters or an even split of 13 depending upon the final makeup of the roster.

Went to The Haverford School during high school and made All-Main Line in his sophomore year. Lettered all four years and also started each season.

Cohen played on a Goodwill Series team that played in Australia and Japan. Also played the Japanese National Team for a series in Cooperstown, NY.
