Titans Outlook: The former Holy Cross (Waterbury) Crusader is very familiar with his new summer home at Fuessenich Park in Torrington.

Helped Crusaders win the Naugatuck Valley League Championship in 2010.

Has been hitting well for the Stags this spring with a .256 batting average (fourth best on team).

2011 stats include, 31 hits, 20 runs scored, 2 home runs and 13 RBI’s.

7 doubles and two triples helped Plourde become an impact player in year one.

Had the game winning hit versus Siena on 4/30. Went 4-for-4 against Niagara on 4/10, missing a cycle by a home run.

Was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week (5/9) for his .500 (6-for-12), 5 runs scored and 3 RBI week that saw the Stags post a 3-1 record.

In Stags 6-5 win over Iona during week, went 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs scored and an RBI. Drove in go-ahead run in fifth inning and after Iona tied it in the seventh, would score the eventual winning run in the bottom half of the frame.

High School: Earned four varsity letters at Holy Cross. A three-time All-City and tow-time All-NVL selection. Named team’s MVP as a senior. Also lettered in football, earning All-City and All-NVL honors while helping team to an NVL Championship.
