Hi Folks!

We had a great day for the 30th annual Litchfield XC Challenge. It was a little brisk in the morning but was perfect by race time.
Winners got pumpkins donated by Bunnell Farm and locally made honey was handed out to the age group winners...and all the finishers in the kids 2K.
The 30th finisher was surprised to get a $30 gift certificate from Sportsmen's of Litchfield. (30th finisher, 30th annual, $30 dollars...get it?)
Special thanks to our race volunteers: Co-race director Dave Driscoll, timer Bill Neller, registration and race statistics tabulators Mary Novajasky and Beth Murphy, and race marshalls Bruce Losee and Rich Malecki.
The race was organized by Litchfield Parks and Recreation.
Race winners Desmond O'Grady for the men and Jamie Scholl for the ladies were a repeat winners with O'Grady running the course 41 seconds faster this time around and Scholl besting her time of last year by a full 55 seconds!!!
Congratulations to all the runners!
The next race from Litchfield Park and Rec comes on Dec. 1st with the 30th annual running of the Litchfield Jingle Bell Run 5K.
