Chris DeBerry and Ali Bronson add Mothers Day salutes to their moms.
Chris DeBerry on Alledra Howard
-My mother is my daily motivation when things may not be perfect. When I look at my mother, I see someone who was able to make something of herself when she started with so little.
One day I see myself being successful and changing lives, but every day isn’t the same.
When I need to get through the day, I remind myself of the emotional and financial investments she has made to support her children and one day I want to be able to pay her back by making something of myself.
This is to the most important woman in my life, Alledra Howard. Happy Mother’s Day.
Ali Bronson on Suzy Bronson.
My relationship with my mom hasn't changed since I was a child, but it has definitely grown. And that certainly proved true this year.
As I stated in my Hall of Fame speech a few weeks ago my mother and I have a relationship like Lorelei and Rory Gilmore. (Yes I still watch that show) She not only supports me but she pushes me to be better in everything I do.
She finds new ways to surprise me with her support and love every year. It's my mom who is still by biggest fan and sometimes my biggest critic. (My room could always be cleaner!)
It's her voice I still hear in the back of my mind when I'm making a decision or having a bad day. It's her number I dial when I had a great day at work or learned to cook something new.
As I get older it becomes increasingly clear that I would not be where I am today and definitely would not have accomplished the things I have without her.
I can only hope to return the favor at some point, but I don't know if it's possible to support someone as much as she has supported me.
She's still my mommy and I love her so much.
