Torrinton Titans News: Darron Lattomus will join Titans coaching ranks for the 2011 season. Lattomus comes to Torrington from Philadelphia University where he was an assistant coach.

Darron Lattomus enters his first season as an assistant coach at Philadelphia University in 2010-11. This will also be Lattomus' first year as an assistant for Greg Hunt and for the Titans.

Lattomus comes to Torrington by way of Philadelphia University after a solid playing career at Rider University, where he was a four-year outfielder for the Broncos and played under Coach Horvath.

When Lattomus wasn’t playing during his years at Rider, he worked at numerous baseball camps, which included: both the Rider University High School Prospect and Little League Camps; and the Greeley Grays Summer Skills Camp and the Grays YMCA Baseball Camp. Lattomus also spent three years working at the West Springfield/Lake Braddock Little League Camp.

In 2010, Lattomus played in the NCAA DI Austin Regional, where Rider faced off against national powerhouses the University of Texas and Rice University, in order to earn their trip. Rider won the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) title with a 4-2 victory over Canisius College.

During his collegiate career, Lattomus' Broncs won the Metro Atlantic Collegiate Conference (MAAC) twice and went to two NCAA regionals, hosted by Cal State Fullerton and the University of Texas. He was a team captain as a senior where he led the team to a school-record 36 wins.

Lattomus currently resides in Philadelphia, PA.
