Holyst appointed interim A.D. at Wamogo

LITCHFIELD – Patrick Holyst has been appointed interim athletic director at Wamogo, replacing Roberto Medic who resigned recently to take a similar position at Watertown High School.

Holyst coached the girls tennis team and was the assistant girls soccer coach last season at Wamogo. He also teaches history at the school.

“As a social studies teacher and coach in the school, the transition is seamless,” said former A.D. Mary Stolle. “Pat will do his best to do what is best for the student-athletes at Wamogo.”

Wamogo Principal William Egan was unavailable for comment.

Medic replaces Dane Street at Watertown. Street took a full-time athletic administrative position at Simsbury High School. Medic coached soccer and was the A.D. for one year at Wamogo. He took over the position last summer, replacing Stolle who resigned.
