Call it the Texas two-stumble.

Three days after dropping a somewhat shocking 75-71 decision to Houston, the UConn Huskie men lost their second straight American Athletic Conference game, this time a 74-65 to a highly motivated SMU.

The Huskies fall to 11-3 overall, 0-2 in the AAC and most certainly will drop out of the top 25 as they head back to Connecticut after a forgettable trip to the Lone Star State.

Ryan Boatright led the Huskies with 15 points but senior point guard Shabazz Nappier struggled again in the first half, registering his second two-point first half.

Nappier finished with 12 points by games end but the Huskies offensive struggles continued to the tune of a 36.7% shooting percentage.

Nic Moore led the Mustangs with 20 points as SMU improved to 11-3 overall and 1-1 in AAC play.
