Jordan Williams named Nets' Most Improved Player

Torrington's Jordan Williams, who has had a rookie season full of peaks and valleys, has ended his first year on a strong note, being named the New Jersey Nets' Most Improved Player.

Since the trade deadline, Williams has seen his playing time increased considerably and recently was inserted into New Jersey's starting lineup. Amongst his highlights include a career-high 14 points against the Wizards on April 6 and his first NBA double-double on April 14 versus the Celtics as he noteched 12 points and 14 rebounds.

“Its huge, man, especially given where I came from,” Williams told the New York Post. “It’s hard to really talk about it, because I came a really long way from where I was early in the season.”
