With Lime Rock Park’s annual Labor Day weekend Historic Festival just 44 days away, we wanted to bring you up to speed on all the terrific things that are on tap. Frankly, it's difficult to describe it all in a short email! There's the  Thursday Race Car Parade through town. More than 35 vintage races to enjoy. The best concours and car show on the East Coast – the Sunday in the Park Concours presented by Bentley & Gathering of the Marques, with almost 1,000 tremendous cars on the track. Sir Stirling Moss is the Honored Guest. And cars from the spectacular collection of Ralph Lauren will be here. There’s a plethora of different, exciting ways for you to take in the weekend, too.

Cars from the Ralph Lauren Collection
Hopefully you saw the email this past Monday; Mr. Lauren confirmed which five cars he’s chosen to bring to Lime Rock, on display Friday through Monday. You don’t have to take our word for it regarding the “fabulousness” of these cars – when that list was sent to the national and international media, the track office was inundated with requests for high-resolution photographs and interview requests. Suffice to say, you should really take advantage of this very rare opportunity to see these amazing machines.

Sir Stirling Moss & Lady Susie
Sir Stirling and his wife are the Honored Guests for the weekend, and we can tell you first-hand they are warm, engaging folks -- there’s not a hint of “celebrity-ness” about them, despite Moss’s A++ reputation as the greatest living race car driver. There will of course be autograph-meet-and-greet sessions on Saturday, Sunday and Monday; we’ll announce the exact times soon.

Thursday Vintage Race Car Parade presented by Abarth U.S.A.
One of the Festival’s most popular events. And it doesn’t cost you a thing. More than 120 gorgeous sports cars, including un-muffled race cars, launch from Sam Posey Straight at 4:00 p.m., then do a 17-mile rally that includes driving slowly through the heart of Lakeville and Salisbury. Line the sidewalks and you’ll be just a few feet away from the coolest parade in the Northwest Corner. Then head to nearby Falls Village for the Street Fair, where all the parade cars are parked. Food, live music, entertainment – and the unique, evocative aroma of cooling-down race cars. Awesome.

Mohegan Sun V.I.P. Fan Hospitality

It’s not only affordable, it’s fantastic. Great food and drink, your own Timing & Scoring monitor, a comfortable and cool setting, close to everything, goody bag, preferred parking. And Sir Stirling will come to say “hi” and make your acquaintance! Like we say, we make you the VIP. It is the finest way to enjoy Saturday’s or Monday’s race days. Space is, of course, limited, so don’t wait too long to reserve your seat.

Hillside Cabanas
They’re like mini-V.I.P. hospitalities! Your own three-sided cabana, stocked with drinks of your choice, lawn chairs to use, wait-service from the nearby taverns and concessions – and located in Lime Rock’s best viewing areas. Casual luxury is an apt description. Limited availability, so get crackin’!

Pick-up Picnic Baskets

Choose from the available food and drink options ahead of time, then we put it all together and you pick it up when you get here! And the LRP basket and picnic blanket are yours to keep. Fun, convenient, affordable, good.

Car Corrals presented by Spectro Oil
Do you own a car that you’re really proud of? Do you like the idea of hanging out with other owners with the same kind of car, in your own special Lime Rock Car Corral? Of course you do... Click here to see all the different Car Corrals during Historic Festival 32.

What Else?
The thriving Midway in the Infield... the all-new-gear-and-other-cool-stuff Merchandise Store in the A Paddock... the Lime Rock Kids Club... the Vintage Swap Meet in B Paddock... the best “track food” in America thanks to Lime Rock Catering...

As always, parking is free, kids 12 and under are free, veterans and active military personnel are free.

Bottom line? The five days of motoring magnificence that is Historic Festival 32 and the Sunday in the Park Concours presented by Bentley has something for everyone and is simply a first-class way to enjoy Labor Day Weekend, August 28 through September 1.
