Litchfield Parks and Recreation is offering a Tennis Camp August 5th through the 9th at the Litchfield High School tennis courts with instructor, Than Southard, LHS Varsity Boys Head Tennis Coach.

“If you are big enough to pick up a racquet, this camp is for you!”

For grades 2-3 your clinic runs from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. each day for a fee of $60.

Camp for the 4th-6th graders will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday through Friday.   Players in the Grades 7-9 can learn the basics of the game from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on those same courts.

Camp participants will learn how to keep score, the fundamentals of the serve, hitting the volley, and returning the ball using forehand and backhand ground strokes.

To register you can print up a standard form from the web and mail it in.. You may register the first day of camp, but slots are filling up and you don’t want to get left out! Checks should be made out to Nathaniel Southard and sent into Litchfield Park and Rec, P.O. Box 12, Bantam, CT 06750.
