Lewis Mills 4, Thomaston 1

#1 Singles: Trevor Robinson (Mills) defeated Jack Hurtle (Thomaston): 6-4, 6-3
Comments: Trevor played more inconsistent today since his timing was a bit off.  When Trevor watched and moved to the ball he hit some beautiful topspin shots to move Jack around the court.

#2 Singles: Holden Robinson (Mills) defeated Will Hurtle (Thomaston): 6-2, 6-4

Comments: This was a great match to watch between two players who hustled around the court and had some fantastic shots at the net.  Holden won by being more consistent and aggressive than his opponent.

#3 Singles: Bill Bentley (Mills) defeated to Rob Archibald (Thomaston): 6-1, 6-1

Comments:   This may have been the best service match from Bill that I have seen in his 3 years as a player.  Bill had a high service percentage, with a lot of power behind his serve.

#1 Doubles: Jeff Molgano and Sinclair Bush (Mills) lost to Nick Stager and Benny Parietaio (Thomaston):  3-6, 4-6

Comments: Jeff and Sinclair had a hard time finding their rhythm today, with numerous double faults and unforced errors, which ultimately cost them the match.  We looked tentative and the Thomaston team took advantage of this and pushed the tempo and net play to earn the win.

#2 Doubles: Jake Perfetto and Jay Cizeski (Mills) beat Chris Lockheart and Jon Yatco (Thomaston): 6-0, 5-7, 10-7

Comments:  Jake and Jay got off to a fantastic start by attacking the net as a team, which is what a great doubles team does.  After winning the 1st set, they let off the gas a bit and stopped coming to the net.  After barley losing the 2nd set Jake and Jay made sure to be more aggressive.

This puts us at 7-0 for the season.  Thomaston gave us their all today.  I could tell by Thomaston's focus and energy, they wanted to play the role of underdog/spoiler and beat us.  Mills proved to be ready for the challenge and made sure to play hard to earn another victory.

Next up is a match home against Gilbert on Friday, 4/26.
