ALBANY, NEW YORK: Former Torrington Red Raider, Sarah Royals, continues to make an impact in her freshman year at the University of Albany.
After a 2-3 start, the Great Danes have won four of their last five and three in a row, including Sunday’s 64-54 win over Sacred Heart in a non-conference match-up.
Royals played 15 minutes in the win, scoring seven points with two steals.
Seeing action in all ten games for Albany (6-4), the Raiders all-time leading scorer has averaged 15 minutes per game and is scoring 4.7 points per game.
Her 43 points ranks sixth on the team and Royals has pitched in with 8 steals in her 10 games.

Free Throws: 16-24 (.667)
