TORRINGTON: The Second Annual Torrington Varsity Alumni Club Track and Field Challenge will kick off on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Robert H. Frost Complex.

The VAC is one of the strongest groups in the Torrington area, giving out yearly scholarships to deserving student athletes.

Torrington’s own Mike Tyler is the meet director and count on plenty of help from the VAC members as they showcase the tremendous track and field facility at THS.

Winning individuals and teams will also get a special Champions Tee-Shirt from the club.

Admission is $5 dollar for adults, $3 dollars for students.

It’s supposed to be a nice day on Saturday, stop by and root on your favorite team or athlete.
