Torrington, CT- The Torrington Titans of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League of New England have announced the opening of season ticket sales for the 2011 season.

The new owners, the Carminucci Sports Group, are fresh off announcing earlier this week that Cecil Fielder will be part of their baseball advisory board and will make an appearance in Torrington sometime this summer.

In an effort to keep the momentum going as spring slowly makes its way to New England (Friday's Nor'Easter not withstanding), the Titans are keeping their fans updated on what promises to be an exciting inaugural campaign.

All home games will be played at historic Fuessenich Park in downtown Torrington. Most home games will start at 7 PM with pregame festivities on most nights and in-game entertainment on all nights. A promotional schedule is soon to follow.

The 2011 Torrington Titans will play a total of 20 home games with an overall total of 45 games. Opening night is slated for June 10th, against the Nashua Silver Knights out of Nashua, NH. The Seacoast Mavericks and the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks will also being making multiple trips out to Litchfield County to battle the Titans. The Titans schedule is highlighted by a 4th of July Bonanza versus out of league opponent Tri-State. “I am extremely excited about being able to bring a true minor league feel to Torrington with events planned, in-game entertainment and a high level of baseball.” Mike O’Malley, GM of the Titans stated.

All season ticket holders will have a designated seat behind home plate in the chair back section of the stadium. The seats will most likely be chosen when we host a “pick your seat” day of sorts at the stadium when the weather turns favorable. Once a season ticket is purchased, we will send you an informational packet within a couple of weeks. Adult season tickets are .00 for the year and kids 12 and under are .00 for the season. Children 5 and under will be able to enter the ballpark free. There is also a weekend flex pack that will be made available online shortly.

The FCBL provides student-athletes from New England and New England Colleges the opportunity to compete and play with the elite players from across the country and to promote them to MLB organizations. Each roster must contain at least 13 players from New England or from a New England University/College. In addition, the Futures Collegiate Baseball League will provide a family friendly, affordable, and fun experience for the communities that we play in, in a minor league style setting.
