TORRINGTON: The Torrington Titans placed four players on the 2013 Futures Collegiate Baseball League All-Star team.

The game will be played on Thursday, July 25 at 7:05 in Pittsfield, the home of the Sun.

Jake McGuiggan (Jr, Harvard), Michael Odenwaelder (Soph, Amherst), Nick Fuller (Soph, Umass Dartmouth) and Alex Disanto (Jr, Suny Old Westbury) made the cut for their outstanding efforts to date.

Odenwaelder, a Wamogo graduate who starred on the basketball court as well as the diamond, has been an RBI machine for Coach Misha Dworken this summer.

His 19 lead the team and rank him tied for sixth in the FCBL while his four home runs are good for a fourth place tie with several other players.

Odenwaelder has scored 16 runs, knocked out 30 hits, three doubles and a pair of triples.

For good measure, the former Warrior has swiped five bases and displayed a gun for an arm in the outfield with several assists.

McGuiggan makes the squad thanks to a .270 batting average that includes 16 runs scored, 30 hits, 5 doubles, a home run and 10 RBI’s.

Fuller has not pitched less than four innings in any of his seven starts and sports a 3-1 record with a 2.09 ERA.

The lefty starter has struck out 32 batters in 38.2 innings of work and his three wins ties him with teammate pat Austin for tops on the team.

Disanto has been solid as the Titans closer and has eight so far this year.

He has given up just an unearned run in his 13 appearances and has struck out 18 over that stretch.
