Torrington High School graduate, Kevin Finn wins Omar N. Pollick Scholarship for 2013.

The Omar N. Pollick Scholarship Committee has chosen Kevin Finn, son of Patrick & Carol Finn as its scholarship recipient.

Finn is a 2013 graduate of Torrington High School. He has a GPA of 95.4087 and a class rank of 25 out of 258.

Finn earned three letters in swimming, serving as tri-captain his senior season.

He was a member of the National Honor Society, served as vice president of the Student Council Executive Board, was a member of the Torrington Wellness Committee, the Naugatuck Valley League Leadership Conference, and was a delegate to the Washington Youth Summit on the Environment.

He also attended The Model UN conference at the University of Connecticut, was a member of the Oceanography Club, the Mayors Committee on Youth, and was a volunteer assistant coach for Torrington Midget Football.

Finn is a Certified Lifeguard and certified in American Sign Language. and will attend the College of the Holy Cross in the fall, majoring in Environmental Studies.
