Torrington Lady Raiders to honor Tim Considine.
The Torrington Girls Soccer Team will be honoring Tim Considine during their home match vs. Naugatuck on Wednesday October 17th.
The Lady Raiders will be wearing special green jerseys for the Copper Division match-up scheduled to begin at 6:30 at Torrington High School.
Considine, a Torrington native and father of two, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012 after being diagnosed earlier this year with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
Proceeds from the match will benefit the Tim Considine Family Trust.

Tim Considine was a deeply religious and devoted family man who earned a stellar reputation through his integrity, compassion, sense of fairness and caring.
He was equally well known for his keen wit and ever present sense of humor.
Tim, a former THS standout athlete, helped and inspired many throughout his life.
This was especially true after he was diagnosed with ALS in February of 2012.
The courage and dignity with which he battled his affliction remains an inspiration to all who had the privilege to know him.
He will be missed.
Tim lived in Torrington with his wife Cheryl and two boys Timmy and Brian.
