Wolcott Tech boys volleyball improves to 2-0 with 3-0 win over Bloomfield.

The Wolcott Tech Boy’s Volleyball Team finished its first week of the season with a record of 2-0 after defeating Bloomfield HS in front of a crowd filled with Wolcott Tech Volleyball Alumni and fans.


Setter Dennis Waibel had 24 assists, 4 aces, 6 digs; Middle Hitter Tyler Kackowski had 4 aces, 6 kills; Outside Hitter Justin Tharau had 10 kills, 9 digs, 1 ace; Outside Hitter Steve Oakes had 9 kills, 3 aces; Jack Farrington 5 kills, 8 digs; Outside Hitter Nick Baldwin had 3 kills, 3 digs; Defensive Specialist Luke Pepper had 3 digs: and Harkin Foster had 4 digs.


The Wolcott Tech Wildcat’s played a great defensive game vs Bloomfield High School who kept the scores close many times during the entire match. The Wildcat’s remained focused and brought their offensive game to the court, resulting in the victory. Their communication skills are developing and are a work in progress with every practice and game. The coaching staff wishes the entire Wolcott Tech Volleyball Family a restful holiday and spring break.


Wolcott Tech’s record goes to 2-0 and Bloomfield goes to 0-2.


The Wolcott Tech Wildcats plays Oxford HS on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 with a 4:00 jv start, followed by varsity at the Wolcott Tech Gym.
